Parent of the Year

Congratulations to our Parents of the Year!

Moms of the Year

Kathleen

Nominated by Kelsey
My mom is the best mom in the world. She is always taking me wherever I want to go and watching TV with me. Whenever I am sick, she is taking care of me. When my friends and I need a ride somewhere, she takes us. My friends are always saying that your mom is so cool. She wears a bandana. She is always there to help me with my homework. If I have big exams or something, she helps me study. And if I can't remember an answer, she gives me a way to remember. She is the best.

Dads of the Year

Brian Foschetti

Nominated by Paula Foschetti
My husband Brian is the best dad. When Skylar was born, he took Family Leave after mine was over so our daughter could avoid going to daycare until she was 5 months old. Since then, he gets her ready every morning and drops her off so she doesn't have to go at 7 AM. On his day off, he brings her to tumbling class.(He is the only dad). Skylar listens for the garage door to open every night so she can be ready to give him a big hug. For these reasons and many more, I think Brian should be the dad of the year.

D.J. Yeagley

Nominated by Kaitlin & Taylor
DJ is a great daddy, he always makes us laugh, he is always sending mommy out for a day to herself. Our daddy is always reading to us, teaching us to dance, swim, color to just be silly. He even has taught us to help clean the house and help mommy with chores around the house. Not to mention that we are girls and daddy has been very helpful with potty training!!! He has sacrificed alot for our family to succeed, he deserves to be the daddy of the year.

Duane Ripplinger

Nominated by Christina Bunch
I think my father would be a great winner, he has done so much for our family as well as others. He has such a big heart and works so hard for his family. He is jack of all trades, and I wonder why there are not men out there anymore like him. He has a hard life and still has such a passion for life. He is my Dad and my friend, if we could all be so lucky.

Evan Wald

Nominated by Sasha Wald
My daddy deserves the "Dad of the Year" because he would do anything and everything that he can for me. He takes the time to play with me, sing to me , teach me. Even when he comes home after working a 12 hour day, he still finds the energy to spend the rest of the night with me. He also helps my friends out when they need it. He never says that he's too tired to do something and when I'm sick, he helps my mommy take care of me. He even gets up in the middle of the night if I do, and sings me back to sleep.

Jackson Warner

Nominated by Virginia Warner
My Husband Jackson Is an amazing Dad, He has been there for me and our daughter from day one. He works very hard and puts our happiness first always. He is a Loving caring father of our 11 year old daughter, she thinks the world of him. He is a role model and and inspiration to us both. We love him so much.

Jeff

Nominated by Stacey Chadwell
In September 2004, Jeff was in Las Vegas when I was told our baby would be coming that day, 8 weeks early. He arranged for a flight to arrive at 11 pm back East. However, a hurricane prevented his being there for her arrival. The next morning, Jeff arrived to hold, sing, and take care of his new 3 lbs daughter for a week in the NICU. He also did his best to take care of mom and big sister. Every year He collects and walks in the March of Dimes Walkathon with the Big Sister in Las Vegas in honor of our baby and the many other families who have been through this.

Joseph Iuliucci

Nominated by Diane Iuliucci
My Husband Joseph is one of the best dads I know. From the beginning of having our twins thru invitro, he was there every step of the way. He steps in whenever help is needed to care for our 22 month old twins whether it be day or night. He always takes care of one every night. Which sometimes means sleeping on an uncomfortable futon. When he isn't working he spends every minute with the kids playing and taking them out.

Kris Pool

Nominated by James & Lindsay Pool
Our Dad is the best because he always thinks of us first. He always says mom and us are the best thing that ever happened to him. He works very hard so that we may have the great life that we do. He always seems to have the time to swim and play with us.

Mike Cooper

Nominated by Sandi
Mike is a good dad because whenever one of our kids need him, he's there. No matter how many hours he's worked or how bad his day has been, he's there. They can call him if he's not home or come to him when he's home and he always has the kindest words, the warmest hugs and the sweetest kisses for them. We are all blessed to have him in our lives, he's done so much for us all and we love him just as much as he loves us.

Nathan Findlay

Nominated by Audra Findlay
This dad has made enourmous leaps in life. He has recently overcome a huge obstacle in life, changed careers, and now stays at home with our 3 children during the day. For all of us moms who have stayed home with children, we know how challenging it can be, especially when you are new at it! Two thumbs up to our dad.

Nick Davidson

Nominated by Jennifer Davidson
He's the best!!!

Randy Faber

Nominated by melissa
Randy is such a wonderful Dad. He takes time with the boys playing baseball or football- taking them to baseball games, movies... He's not only good to the boys but good for them- he cooks, cleans, does laundry and pretty much does it all- I think Randy should be Dad of the year because he is everything to our two boys- I can only hope they turn out to be just like their dad.

Richard Rogers

Nominated by Sarah Rogers
My husband is the best daddy I could have ever imagined having for my children. He is so loving and fun that all three of my children can't wait for dadday to come home everyday. No matter how long or hard he has worked during the day he always takes the time to make his family feel special and loved. My kids and I are so lucky to have him.

Tim Pullen

Nominated by trini pullen
My husband always has time and patience for both of our young children. He has never been short, raised his voice or done anything to ever hurt them or their self esteem. He's always there for them and always puts them before himself or his desires or wants. They're number 1. I truly don't know any other dad that is so selfless when it comes to their children.

Tom Nelson

Nominated by Lisa A Nelson
My husband Tom is so deserving to be recognized because of his hard work and dedication for his family. Tom just retired from the USAF about 2 years ago after 22 years of service. Our children are still very young and I am a stay at home mom. Tom went back to school to finish getting his collage degree while working 2 jobs! He just ended his last class and is graduating with honors, 3.95 avarage! He never complains and always wants us to have everything to make us comfortable and happy. We love him so much!

Tony

Nominated by Andrew
My father moved from Maryland all the way over to Nevada so my mom and I could be closer to family. He gave up a great job and took a job that requires him to travel away from his family for this move. He is the most unselfish man for doing this for his family.

Tony Stack

Nominated by Renee Curtis
My husband is Tony Stack. He is amazing and patient with our children. He works hard all day long and yet still always finds time to spend with our children. We have a 2 year old daughter, Jade, a 4 year old boy, Chris and a 15 year old daughter, Kreshia. Chris has CP in his legs since birth and it is hard for him to walk. My husband still treats Chris with love and respect even though it is frustrating at times to watch Chris struggle with everyday activities. I lose my patience with our three children but no matter what, my husband always tells me to stop, breath, and know that these children are the future and gifts from above. I love my husband for being the best father ever to our children.
