Snow in Las Vegas? That's right! Town Square brings holiday cheer to Las Vegas in the form of snowflakes this year with Snow in the Square. Each show lasts 10 minutes and is choreographed to everyone's favorite holiday music.

Our libraries offer a variety of weekly storytimes to introduce children and their parents/caregivers to the exciting world of books. These storytimes emphasize books and may be accompanied by films, guest speakers or crafts. An adult must accompany children under 10 and remain in the library during storytimes. Floating Ice Skating RinkMonteLago Village Date: Every weekday (Nov 14-Feb 15)

Admission Fees: $15 adults - $12 children 12 and under
Locals know winter is upon us when Montelago Village opens its annual, 40-foot-by-70-foot ice-skating rink that is created on a stage that floats atop Lake Las Vegas. The rink can support up to 60 people at a time and uses 110 five-gallon buckets of water and a 12,000-pound freezer to help keep the ice cold. Mon-Fri 3pm-9pm; Sat-Sun 12noon-9pm

8 million holiday lights line a two-mile tour featuring 400 displays, such as dinosaurs, a 100-foot-long dragon, an animated reindeer band and Santa on his cell phone. Hours are 5 - 10 pm Fridays, Saturdays and holidays; 5 - 9 pm Sundays - Thursdays. Admission is $15 per vehicle Fridays - Sundays and holidays; $13 per vehicle Mondays - Thursdays. Get $2 off with any bag of gently used items donated to Goodwill of Southern Nevada on-site or at any Goodwill location in Las Vegas or Henderson.

RekTrekClark County Parks & Rec Date: Every weekday from 7:00am to 6:00pm
Ages: 6-12
RecTrek is a year-round program for children ages 6 to 12 and keeps them busy Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during track and school breaks at Paradise Recreation Center, 4775 McLeod Drive, near Eastern and Tropicana avenues in southeast Las Vegas. Cost for the camp is $15 per day or $70 per week, per child. There is a 50 percent discount for the third child if enrolling three children from the same family for the entire week. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify through the Equal Opportunity Board (EOB).
Participants in RecTrek enjoy field day activities, guest speakers, themed days, playground free time, arts and crafts activities, cooperative sports, drama and movies.
