Sagebrush ranch has traditionally had Christmas Caroling horseback for the last 15 years, and again for the Christmas season upcoming. Many folkes in the past have called and thanked us for having played a part in restoring some "good ol' fashion Christmas spirit" in their life, after having gone Christmas Caroling horseback with us. This is a wonderful, fun event to do with your company party's, family, friends and a great event to plan with your church. The horses, wagon and the Ranch are all decked out in tinsel and lights. We have horseback riding and a horse-drawn wagon ride. The entire family can go because of the wagon, babies and great-grand-parents, disabilities; no problem and Santa is here too and the wagon ride fills the air with Christmas music that every one can sing or listen to. We on horseback; follow Santa, enjoying the music with a crisp blue sky above us and glittering stars accenting the night; some nights will even have moonlight. The ride is a 45 minute ride. A beautiful nativity scene graces the view from the campfire with lots of Christmas western accents around the eating area. The price is only $35.00 per person(which is the Christmas caroling ride and dinner). Make your reservations early by calling 702-645-9422.

Christmas caroling starts November 27th and runs through December 21st and December 26th.  Your choices of times available are 4:30p.m., 6:30p.m. or 8:30p.m.
Thursday thru Sunday Only! Children 3 years old and younger are free! Book early so that your group may have the time slot best for you.

Locals know winter is upon us when Montelago Village opens its annual, 40-foot-by-70-foot ice-skating rink that is created on a stage that floats atop Lake Las Vegas. The rink can support up to 60 people at a time and uses 110 five-gallon buckets of water and a 12,000-pound freezer to help keep the ice cold.  Mon-Fri 3pm-9pm; Sat-Sun 12noon-9pm

Mystic Falls Park

Mystic Falls Park at Sam's Town has turned into a winter wonderland with 50 light-strewn trees and a 30-foot Christmas tree. The attraction now features three new polar bear scenes and a river scene with fishing polar bears. Lights and water shows accompany traditional holiday music and free 15-minute animated shows bring the park alive at 6, 8 and 10 pm daily. Admission is free.

Admission prices are: General Admission: $6.00; Discount Admission: $4.00

Seniors over 55, children under 12 and students of CSN qualify for the discount price. Youth groups, where one person buys all of the tickets, also qualify for the discount price. Please see our group reservation policy.

 

After 7:30 pm performances, the telescopes at the Student Observatory will be open for viewing when the weather is clear.

Hours are 5 - 10 pm Fridays, Saturdays and holidays; 5 - 9 pm Sundays - Thursdays. Admission is $15 per vehicle Fridays - Sundays and holidays; $13 per vehicle Mondays - Thursdays. Get $2 off with any bag of gently used items donated to Goodwill of Southern Nevada on-site or at any Goodwill location in Las Vegas or Henderson.

RekTrek
Clark County Parks & Rec

RecTrek is a year-round program for children ages 6 to 12 and keeps them busy Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during track and school breaks at Paradise Recreation Center, 4775 McLeod Drive, near Eastern and Tropicana avenues in southeast Las Vegas. Cost for the camp is $15 per day or $70 per week, per child. There is a 50 percent discount for the third child if enrolling three children from the same family for the entire week. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify through the Equal Opportunity Board (EOB).

 

Participants in RecTrek enjoy field day activities, guest speakers, themed days, playground free time, arts and crafts activities, cooperative sports, drama and movies.
